I had noticed that various people use to replace the used toner cartridge with new toner cartridge. The reason is that either they don’t know the process of refilling or recycling , or either they think that after refilling it will not deliver good quality prints. But guys the reality is you will defiantly get superb quality of prints which is almost equal to new cartridges up to 3 or 4 times of refilling .After 4 to 5 times of refilling , Some mechanical parts of drum get damaged due to heating and friction . Do you know that it can be refilled up to 4 times and you can save good money? The cost of new toner cartridge is nearly 15 times more than the cost of refilling. The problem is that cartridge manufacturing company locks the toner cartridge drum in such a way that people cannot refill it easily . The Refilling cap of the chamber of Drum can only be accessible after complete disassembling of the Toner cartridge.
Guys it looks very tough & horrible to disassemble the toner cartridge for refilling . But trust me guys it is so simple that any one can do it by own , I was also scared when I first tried to disassemble. But here I am going to explain you step by step procedure of refilling a toner cartridge , I had also attached a complete refilling video tutorial of refilling process , you can also take the help in refilling process. The steps of Refilling is as follow –
Step 1 – Power off the printer and pull out the toner cartridge drum from the laser printer, clean the surface of the drum gently.
Step 2 – Now remove the small spring attached in one corner of the cartridge , which is responsible for closing the plastic cover over the opc drum.
Step 3 – Now unscrew the various screws from the both side of the toner cartridge as shown in the video .
Step 4 – Open the plastic cover over the OPC Drum ( opc drum is the most sensitive part of the cartridge , so please handle it very carefully , because if it gets a little scratch , then your each printed page will be effected by that scratch.) Hold its one end gently and pull it out , keep it in a safe place after cleaning the surface of opc drum with white cotton.
Step 5 – Now pull out the Rubber roller from the toner cartridge , which is responsible for holding the page and moving the page in & out.
Step 6 – The Cartridge has to be disassembled in to two parts as shown in video , in order to refill the toner powder. Hence watch the video tutorial very carefully , Both the parts are locked by two thick pins from both sides, which you need to remove in order to disassemble . This is the most tricky and important task , for removing the pins , you need a pointed metallic hook bended at 90 degree angle , because to remove the hook you need to pull the pin from inside of the cartridge in outward direction as shown in the video. Once the pins from both side of the cartridge drum is removed, the cartridge drum get disassembled in to two parts.
Step 7 – Now remove the magnetic rod from the one side of drum , remove the refilling cap from the chamber of drum and through out the waste powder left inside the drum , clean the drum with air blower .
Step 8 – Now attach the magnetic rod in the drum , where it was earlier , now take a toner powder shake it well before pouring inside the container , and by the help of a funnel pour the complete toner powder inside the drum chamber and put up the cap.
Step 9 – Attach the both parts of the cartridge in single part by locking it from the two thick pins from both side.
Step 10 – Attach the rubber rod in the desired place in cartridge , now also attach the OPC drum at its desired place , screw it up from both side and finally attach the small spring to desired position.
Now , you had successfully refilled the toner cartridge, Insert it in to your laser printer , power on and start printing, for more help and support I had attached a video tutorial below please watch it carefully .
